Our Results are up!

Posted: 23rd Aug 2014

We are delighted by the 11% increase to 82% in the percentage of A*-C grades achieved by our Year 11 pupils. English A*-C results increased by an impressive 22% to 82% with 27% of pupils achieving A/A* grades.  In fact over a quarter of our pupils (27%) achieved 3 or more A*/A grades across a range of subjects.  This rise is also apparent in our percentage of pupils achieving 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths which increased 8% to 66%.

There has been some spectacular results by individual pupils.  These include those who have received a complete set of A*/A grades but just as important for us is the number of pupils who have beaten their target grades.  In English, for example 38% of pupils made 4 levels of progress since Key Stage 2.  This figure is way above the national results for 2013.  It will be interesting to compare these successes against national statistics for this year when they are published.

Many thanks to pupils, staff, parents and Governors for helping to achieve these results.
